2020 was dark for a lot of people, for a lot of different reasons. When, towards the end of the year, I created a comic for the annual Observer/Comica competition, it felt natural to reflect that pessimism and darkness in a story.
Negroni With A Twist tells the story of a bleak smog-filled future, where euthanasia is not only legal, but a highly commoditised industry.
It’s inspired by a documentary about a man in Mexico City who clears up after the dead.
